David Rio Flamingo Vanilla Decaf chai substitutes SplendaŽ for the sweetener. As a result, the sweetness is less "full" tasting and more of a piercing, "artificial" quality (fitting for an artificial sweetener). This one would benefit by adding a little milk for a slightly thicker result.

Troy the Chai-Direct Chai Tasting Guy

This Chai is definitely much higher on the sweet side and lower on the spiciness than what one might expect for a beverage made out of spices. The sweetness isn't distinctly "sugary," but a lighter sweetness. It didn't strike me as artificial since Splenda is much more natural tasting than say, Nutrasweet, but to my taste there is something lacking. This product is for those of softer pallet.
