Oregon Chai: The Original Chai Tea Latte Dry Mix |
|
|
Compared to Oregon Original chai concentrate, the powdered mix version is a little stronger on the black tea flavoring and a notch down on the sweetness rating. Perhaps the biggest difference however, isn't reflected in the rating itself. While the concentrate gives the distinct impression of a sweetness flavor derived of honey in milk, the powder mix is a more subtle form of sweet with the honey flavor toned down. Personally, I like the Oregon mixes more than their concentrate cousins. And the mixes are more convenient to make. One interesting note: The Oregon mixes include powdered milk, so mixing with water still gives a very milky result. These mixes do not taste thin or lacking in the milk department, even when mixed with straight water.
